Take a step away from life, a little time for yourself and learn new techniques, relax, sample some great local foods and enjoy yourself! Come on your own or book a private workshop for you and your friends and/or family to share in.
Our Upcycling and Creative Workshops are held in our Studio in North Canterbury, New Zealand.
Having travelled extensively learning techniques from those considered the best in the industry we can pass these skills on to you by offering lots of great options for you to explore with both scheduled and private groups.
We hold regular painting and specialist paint technique workshops as well as custom designed workshops that are tailor made to your preferences – please contact us for more details on these.
Welcome Porch Leaner, Paint & IOD Stamps Workshop

Christmas Door Hanger Workshop
Join us for a fun day of learning some new skills, a IOD Moulds, Stamps and also a variety of painting techniques, taking home your own personally custom finished Christmas Door Hanger. We provide all you need including drinks and refreshments.

Le Cloches Resin Workshop - learn how to mix and use both Quick Casting White Resin and Clear Epoxy Casting Resin. Use the latest Le Cloches Mould by IOD, a little metallics, Transfers and maybe even decoupage! All products are supplied for you to make and take home three beautiful Le Cloches Ornaments.

Decoupage Workshop: Come and join us and learn the art of Decoupage. We will be using both our Mint and Roycyled Decoupage Paper lines and giving this wee set of drawers a new life. We provide everything you need! Image transfer and decoupage are an easy, and beautiful, way to take your furniture to the next level. On the completion of this workshop you will know how to get a great finish every time!

Join us for a fun day learning new skills using these beautiful Foils and our van Gogh/Mango Paint and Paint Finishes. Learn the many different techniques using Foils and the many different surfaces they can be used on. We will be using our Foils on metal containers, glass and a little Christmas decor just because we can!

IOD Moulds, Stamps & Transfers
Come and learn all about Iron Orchid Designs Moulds, Stamps and Transfers! IOD is the best quality you can get and made with ease of use for you in mind. Find out how to make those beautiful Moulds in Air Dry Clay and Resin - how to choose which product, the art of Stamping with success and Transfers are so easy once you know how.

Come and join me in the workshop to paint your own small piece of furniture.
This workshopis a great way to gain the skills and confidence to apply paint to any project and a great wsy to gain confidence to paint at home.
We cover the basics of furniture painting, distressing and waxing/top coats.
This workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to finish a small project in the comfort of our studio either with a group or at a time to suit. I love having company in the workshop!
