Iron Orchid Designs Décor Moulds can be used with many different mediums. Here's the two most common.
Air dry clay, or paper clay: IOD paper clay is an air dry medium, and one of our favorites. Like most paper pulp based air dry clays, some shrinking, warping, and cracking is inherent. We like these qualities for a distressed, authentically vintage look.
Amazing Casting resins: There is no shrinking or warping, and the castings are more consistent. If you need to conform them to a curved surface, this can be done if removed from the mould before it’s completely hardened.

Amazing Casting Resin - a mixture of two substances that when mixed form a clear liquid which sets turning to a white resin in 10 minutes and conforms to the shape of our moulds. Amazing casting resin is easy to use and transitions from a clear liquid to a white solid plastic in minutes. It's ideal for use in silicone moulds and in its cured form can be sanded, drilled, turned, painted and tapped. Not suitable for food applications.
Angelic Tapers Mould by IOD and Amazing Casting Clear Cast Resin are great together. If your not comfortable using resin here's your oportunity to have a blank mould in the Clear Cast to decorate as you desire or leave it as it is. Coated with a gloss top coat to enhance the clear shine.
